Silk
Produced from the cocoon of the silk worm, silk is a very lightweight and luxurious fabric. Used in a variety of areas silk can give the home a very sleek look if applied carefully.
Application
A common application for silk is the upholstery on furniture.

Should not be used on daily-use and high traffic furniture items

Using durable furniture padding will give more support and texture to the fabric

Maintenance:

Caution must be taken to be sure to not damage the fabric

Silk furniture can be vacuumed to free it of any particles

A lightly damp cloth and a very mild detergent may be used to wipe down the furniture
